Today was my last of 3 awesome days of Fanime Con, our local anime convention.
I was dressed as Mizuhara Koyomi, or Yomi, from Azumanga Daioh! Last year I was Suzumiya Haruhi. <3
Three people recognized that I was Yomi, and one of them took my picture.
This year was great! My second-ever con was super fun. I liked it even more than last year!
Okay, so this year I bought a Nami (from One Piece) figurine, and I got a grab bag for the first time. I was very nervous buying something that I was unaware of what I would get, but it turned out to work in my favor!! I got: A gundam model of some sort (very cute little chibi-robot), a Jr. Chun Li from Street Fighter IV (chibi Chun Li~!), and a *drumroll please* DEATH NOTE T-SHIRT!! Extra-large size. ouob It's super cool. I was very happy with my purchase. It was only $20 for all 3 of those items, and the T-shirt alone was $20. So basically I got the other things for free! $50 value, mates. Aww yeh
I saw a Navi, from Avatar, SEVERAL Soul Eater characters (very popular this year), a flower Luffy (From the Amazon Lily arc), and an Ivankov! AN IVANKOV!! Holy cow, can you believe it?! I couldn't. I was freaking out that a man would really wear that outfit. He looked EXACTLY like him, too. (Just with a smaller head. Because I don't think that you can physically have a head as big as Ivan-chan's. It was incredible, I got a picture of him. <3 <3 <3 He seemed kind of anti-social, though. :I He wouldn't hug my friend. BUT HIS OUTFIT WAS STILL AMAZING
For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about, here you go: [link]
All in all, it was fantastic. I spent the last day watching One Piece with my friends. I was glad I got to share the Caimie, Duval, Takoyaki arc + the beginning of the Sabaody Archipelago arc with them. <3333

Haha, I went for the first time to see what it was like.
Too bad we didn't see each other!
Yeah, I didn't see a lot of people that I was supposed to, I was kind of bummed. :I
But I'll be there next year!
Did you have fun at least? This year's con was better than last year's for me.
It wasn't really my thing, but I did see a lot of nice cosplayers.
I guess you gotta really be into it to like going to cons like Fanime.
And yeah, there were some good cosplays this year. ouob
Like, the first hour for me though xD
After that it was just like, that's itttt? P:
Did you see uhmm, the Russel guy though? Like, that big dude that was the little boy from Up? I thought that was amazingg (:
I mostly walked around, doing different things. Lots of Dealer's Hall, Gamer's Room. A little bit of Artist's Alley and a lot of Video Hall. I didn't do as many panels this year as I wanted to. It's a lot more fun when you have a bunch of friends dragging you around, too! xD
OMG YOU SAW HIM? Lucky!
I didn't get to see him, but I READ about him in the newspaper! Yeah, Fanime was the big story in Metro. And it talked about 3 particular cosplayers, one dressing up as Russel from Up. I wanted to see him so bad...
Haha, well, I have a feeling that I will continue going to Fanime every year. So if you're ever in the bay area Memorial Day weekend, you should definitely check it out.
I KNOW you would love it there.
