I have so many crappy old drawings that are really bad in representation of me in my gallery.
I thought to keep them because it shows my progress, but I also don't want them here because DA is kind of like my portfolio. And I wouldn't want those little old drawings in my portfolio.

So to what do you think? Best to clean it out and keep it fresh? Or keep them for lulz and progress viewing?

If you mean the art on your DA, scrap it. I never get rid of things, they just are in scraps or storage.

If you're talking about your non-deviantart gallery (the stuff in your home), it's up to you. I give away the hard copies of a lot of my artwork since I don't have room for all the drawings. Some old pictures get tossed too.

personally, i like keeping my old sketchy stuff for remembering sake (because I lose stuff on my computer, especially the stuff worth remembering, since i only recently started organizing things). you could always just keep things in your scrapbook, because then people would know not to take it seriously.

keep old drawings from visible improvements.

your portfolio will never be your DA gallery, it'll be your portfolio. colleges ask you to turn in work on a eportfolio, so you can pick your best works
